Research Themes

We combine physiology, signal processing, and statistical analysis to measure, understand, and apply information about the human body.

01

Heart Rate Variability and Autonomic Function

We evaluate autonomic nervous activity from variations in heart rate. Methods including tone-entropy analysis help us objectively characterize changes associated with posture, exercise, lifestyle, aging, and workload.

02

Sleep Analysis

We detect sleep stages and characteristic waveforms from EEG and other biosignals. Our goal is a standardized automated analysis environment that supports expert assessment and can be used by institutions and individuals.

03

Neuromuscular Function Analysis

We use multichannel surface electromyography to quantify muscle activity and motor skills. Applications include sports, rehabilitation, and human–machine interfaces.
